Named for its silvery green leaves, the Silver Palm is native to the island of Madagascar, and only recently introduced to Florida as a landscaping plant. This massive fan palm grows to 30 ft tall and its fan-like leaves are sometimes 10 feet or more across. Silver Palms are cold tolerant to 15 degrees Fahrenheit.
