Nearly 2 inches long, this large, wide-bodied cockroach thrives in Florida’s warm damp climate. These cockroaches rarely venture indoors but are usually found outside, under leaves, and in crevices, and in woodpiles.
This cockroach is also called the ‘stinking cockroach’ because it produces a foul-smelling fluid to protect itself against predators. If you crush one of these bugs, the smell is unmistakable.
