The Bluefish is found all over the world from Australia to Argentina. These voracious fish are usually found is schools and feed on smaller fish. They have large mouths with sharp teeth and they are built for speed to chase down their prey. Mostly found offshore in the deeper parts of the ocean, the smaller species can be in bays or estaurine rivers.
Bluefish are a regulated sport fish are are often caught on artificial lures when they are schooling. They can grow up to 20 pounds but most of the edible fish are smaller. Their flesh can be oily when they grow too large.
