Rose-breasted Grosbeaks winter in the tropics and breed in the colder parts of North America in the summer. They usually can be found in Florida during migration when they use the state as a stop over on their journey north. Floridians cherish their brief encounters with these brightly colored birds in the spring and fall during migration. The Male grosbeaks have a distinctive red triangle on their breast.
