Chickadees are tiny, active, handsome birds with a black cap and black bib. They are gregarious and noisy, their call is a distinctive rapid, high-pitched chick-a-dee-dee-dee call. Like the tufted titmouse, chickadees are forest birds, and a regular visitor at bird feeders.
